Dr. Mehul Amin provides quality medical care in a community-oriented practice which was established by his father, Dr. Bipin Amin, over 36 years ago.
A native to this area, Dr. Mehul Amin received his B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He then went on to medical school at the American University of the Caribbean before returning to Philadelphia. Dr. Amin received his board certification in Internal Medicine after completing both his internship and residency at the University of Pennsylvania- Pennsylvania Hospital- in 2009. He is dedicated to offering the highest quality of care to the entire family and stresses the importance of preventative care. He is also a civil surgeon (as designated by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) who can provide immigration examinations.

Dr. Rupal Patel joined Amin Medical Center in June 2014. Prior to that, she was at a primary care practice in Conshohocken. Dr. Patel completed her internship at New York Medical College in Elmhurst, NY. She moved to Pennsylvania to join her husband Dr. Mehul Amin, and completed her Internal Medicine residency training at The University of Pennsylvania- Pennsylvania Hospital in 2010. Dr. Patel is board certified in Internal Medicine and is an advocate for health awareness and preventative medicine. Her compassion and commitment to quality care are a perfect addition to our practice.
Dr. Rupal Patel practices in our Skippack office
In 1981, Dr. Bipin Amin began his private practice in Skippack and provided true total family care at that location until 1994. He then moved across the street, which is now our current Skippack location. After completing his residency in New York, Dr. Amin began his practice and served as the physician for the Perkiomen Valley School District for over 30 years. Dr. Amin has dedicated himself to offering superior medical care to generations of families in the area. Dr. Amin is fluent in English, Gujarati, and Hindi.

Deval Patel was our first board certified Nurse Practitioner that joined Amin Medical Center in September 2015. She was previously an RN at Abington Memorial Hospital for over 10 years. Deval brings years of clinical experience with a diverse population of patients. She is skilled in treating both common and complex medical conditions with outstanding communication and professionalism. She is multilingual: speaking English, Gujarati, and Hindi.

Priya Patel is our only board certified Physician Assistant, who joined Amin Medical Center in February 2017. Priya has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Salus University, where she graduated in 2011. She brings a wide range of knowledge and skill in treating everything from routine ailments to asthma, diabetes, and hypertension. Priya can perform commercial driver's license (CDL) exams as a Certified Medical Examiner with the DMV. She is multilingual: speaking English, Gujarati, and Hindi.

We welcomed Akta Shukla, a board-certified Nurse Practitioner, to Amin Medical Center in June 2017. Akta completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Temple University and her Master of Science at Thomas Jefferson University. Akta spent a number of years as a Nurse Practitioner caring for patients with complex, acute, and chronic illnesses in the nursing home setting. Prior to that, she was a staff RN at Hahnemann University Hospital on the med/surg unit for over 4 years. Akta enjoys her rapport with patients, while educating them about treatment goals and healthy lifestyles. She has an in depth knowledge of diabetes management, especially in regards to the South Asian diet.
Akta is multilingual: speaking English, Gujarati, and Hindi.
